Activities & Entertainment
There is a large screen TV with Freeview and Sky with all the film channels in the main sitting area where residents enjoy a variety of films and programmes.
Regular sessions are also held where residents can listen to and enjoy music.
A varied choice of entertainment is offered which includes a monthly Reminisce session, regular games of bingo, dominos and scrabble. A range of varied professional entertainers, singers, pianists, musicians visit at the residents’ request. All forthcoming events are displayedand we actively encourage residents to partake in whatever is taking place.
The visiting library comes on a monthly basis and offers a choice of large print books and audio books.
During the summer months trips and outings are organised for our residents. We travel in a hired minibus that accommodates wheelchair users.
A garden party is held in the summer to which residents’friends and families are invited along with staff members. This provides an informal way for families to meet each other and is usually very popular.
